Lovely and talented JULIE LONDON happily gave up a successful acting career to marry Jack Webb in 1947.

But when they separated, she returned to making films.  After their reconciliation, JULIE continued to work occasionally,

but she was a staunch supporter of Jack's work and career.  "I think I have talent, but Jack has greatness," she said.

Universal Pictures

Universal sent JULIE to Philadelphia for the

world premiere of

Tap Roots in 1948.

In 1949, Jack had a role in Sword In The Desert . . . .

JULIE clowned with him and Jeff Chandler on the set.

The following year, Jack visited her on the set of

Return of the Frontiersman

JULIE was content with being Jack's wife,

but family times like these

devoted herself to caring for her daughters.

In March, 1954, JULIE met Bobby Troup.

He recognized her talent and urged her to sing.

Lacking confidence in herself, JULIE resisted.

Bobby and JULIE became a familiar twosome,

although they had what she called "probably the

longest engagement in Hollywood history."

JULIE continued to work,

but always had time for her daughters.

Being a mother was first and foremost for JULIE.

Finally JULIE and Bobby took the big step ---

they were married on New Year's Eve 1959

even though JULIE was sick with the flu!

JULIE and Bobby welcomed a daughter, Kelly, and twin sons, Jody and Reese.

"JULIE loves the whole wife-and-mother bit," Bobby observed.

And so she did.

JULIE continued singing, made films, and guested on television.

But her priority was her marriage to Bobby and her children.

"Learn to value what you have . . . . .

be with people who love you,"

JULIE advised.  "I enjoy the life I live

so long as I can be with my family."

Bobby played;

JULIE sang.

And Bobby wrote love songs for her.

Working together on EMERGENCY! was a wonderful treat for both Bobby and JULIE.

Together,

JULIE and Bobby

found love

 for a lifetime.
